German Language Immersion in Freiburg

Hamburg was founded in 810 by Charlemagne and earned its place in history by becoming the most strategic port in the Hanseatic League of North German cities, which controlled trade in the Baltic and North Seas between the 13th and 15th centuries.

A great fire destroyed much of the city in 1842, and a century later World War II bombing raids again laid it waste, but Hamburg bounced back with style, thanks to the wealth garnered from its position as a trading center.

Today, Hamburg is now home to more millionaires per capita than any other city in Europe. Most of the sights of interest are centered on its maritime traditions, particularly in the harbor area, where the 'Warehouse district' has been transformed into an entertaining destination offering several attractions.

Further afield Hamburg is the gateway to the seaside and spa resorts of the Baltic and North Sea coastline.

Planning for your language immersion		:: You will make your own travel arrangements. :: Arrive independently into Freiburg. :: Your arrival day is Sunday. :: Language courses start on Monday, finish Friday. :: Your departure day is Saturday. :: You can request an airport transfer (extra charge). :: You will be studying and living with like-minded adult International students.

School details & map		The school in Freiburg is established in an elegant neoclassical house located in the town centre. Here, you will find a stimulating, multicultural environment, conducive to learning German rapidly. The course center has comfortable classrooms, a cafeteria as well as a spacious terrace and wonderful garden. WIFI is available and free. After your German classes, set off to discover the city. From the school, you will be close to the university, the numerous shops of the historical centre and its beautiful Gothic cathedral. And if you like to ride bikes, take advantage of the city’s 400 kilometres of cycle lanes.

Language course details & options		You have the following course options: 4 lessons daily: (20 group lessons per week) 5 lessons daily: (25 group lessons per week) Please Note: Private and 30 group lessons per week available.
