Spanish Language Immersion in San Juan
Puerto Rico is tropical, warm and sunny with year-round average temperatures of 70-85*F year round. San Juan is a bit warmer with temperatures averaging 82-90*F, sunny days and breezy nights. In September hurricanes are common. Sept., Oct., and Nov. tend to have more rain than the rest of the year, but the Caribbean weather is unpredictable.
The capital city of San Juan is divided into the old and the new. The old part was founded in 1521 and is now officially declared a National Historic Zone, and many 16th- and 17th-century buildings have been restored and refurbished in the original Spanish style. This part of the city boasts many shops, restaurants, art galleries and museums.

The school is located in the Hato Rey District. The island's banking district and known as "The Golden Mile." It is within walking distance of the historic center and has good public transport.

3 lessons daily: (15 group lessons per week) 4 lessons daily: (15 group lessons & 5 private lessons per week)

:: A "lesson" usually lasts approx. 50 minutes

After class & weekend activities
In order to allow students plenty of opportunities to practice Spanish outside the classroom, the school will encourage students to be bold and explore our island in their free time and also will facilitate the students free time explorations with a host of resources.
Enjoy social & cultural outings during the week with other students from the school visit local beaches, tour the Bacardi Rum Factory or the Cuevas de Camuy (caves). Visit Old forts and enjoy Spanish colonial architecture of Puerto Rico.

Arrival airport: SAN JUAN
No passport or visa is required for US citizens entering Puerto Rico. If students plan to travel elsewhere in the Caribbean, they should bring a passport or birth certificate.
San Juan has an international airport. Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport is located 14km East of San Juan. The school is located approximately 15 minutes from the airport.
