THE BASICS of a language vacation

"experience a new country, it's culture & people, make new international friends, enjoy weekend excursions and most importantly learn the local language.... speak it, read it, listen to native speakers every day!"

After arriving at your arrival airport, you will either be met by a local representative (if you have arranged an airport pick up) and taken to your accommodation OR if you have not booked an airport pickup, you will make your own way to your accommodation by public transport (bus, taxi, etc).

(NOTE: you will receive comprehensive pre-departure information before departure, containing all your arrival information & contact names / numbers including local transport information, etc ).

Your Sunday nights accommodation is included in the vacation.
Once you have arrived at your accommodation (host family, apartment, residence etc) you can unpack and relax. Take the rest of the day/evening and get to know your new host family or roommates, if staying in an apartment or residence.

Our language courses start on Mondays and you will be expected to arrive at the school no later than 08.30am (this may differ by locations). You will make your own way to school with the help of maps and directions which are provided.

After arriving, a school member will introduce themselves and ask you to take a 'placement test', which will help us assess your language level and help our teachers place you in the correct class and level......don't worry the test will only last 10 - 15 minutes and have fun with it!

After the test is finished, you will enjoy an orientation designed to ease your transition into your new surroundings including important subjects, such as what you can expect in your home stay, safety precautions, and how to use local transportation. Staff will also discuss topics related to the school, including the services provided and your daily schedule.

The beauty of an Language vacation is that there's a chance to really get to know everyone in your class and school, a great way to make friends with like minded individuals from around the world!

After the orientation, you will be placed in your new class and your language course begins!

Your daily class schedule (may differ depending on your chosen course and location). Classes normally start at 9am through to 12:30pm if studying 4 lessons per day, if you are taking 6 lessons per day, you will break for lunch at 12.30pm, then resume classes in the afternoon until approximately 3pm.

After classes are over for the first day, you are free to do anything you wish. The school normally include activities (optional) several times per week in the afternoon or evenings and most students will attend... a great way to meet people. Many students will make arrangements to meet up later to go out for the evening.

Your language vacation allows you plenty of time, after classes to discover your new town or city, culture, traditions, art, nightlife and the opportunity to practise your new language skills.
