Activities & Excursions
Every week there are planned excursions to different tourist attractions and cultural places of interest around the area. For each excursion there is a tour guide who gives a thorough explanation of the site and a presentation to the students.
Examples of typical cultural opportunities: Special interest lectures, lectures on history, art, literature and politics, Video evenings with German language films, Viennese waltzing course
Winter time: There is a lot to do during the winter months in Vienna. You can play ball games, squash, badminton, ice-skating and, at weekends, even go skiing and snowboarding.
Summer time: Vienna offers a multitude of sport activities. There are soccer and volleyball matches at the Danube Island or Vienna Prater, cycling and pedalo trips along the Old Danube. The Danube features some waterskiing facilities and you can rent inline skates, too. At weekends, a trip to Lake Neusiedl, where you can go swimming, wind surfing or even get sailing instruction, is always a good idea.
For some activities a contribution towards the costs of the sports programme is required, e.g. for space rental. Rackets, ice-skates, skis and ski boots, bicycles and the like can be hired.
Weekends are free for discovering Austrian culture and nature. Every weekend we organise excursions to popular destinations at cost price. Accompanied by an experienced teacher you can visit Salzburg, the city of Mozart, Graz, the capital of Styria, Klosterneuburg or admire the famous Danube valley called "Wachau". In summer time we go swimming at Lake Neusiedl and taste Austrian wine at a traditional venue called "Heurigen"...
