Peqiin is a village where four different religious groups (Druze, Christians, Jews and Muslims) coexist in complete harmony. The residents of the village often cross culturally attend religious ceremonies, weddings, and other social events.
Albaqiya (al-bo-kay-ah), the oldest settlement that developed at the foot of Peqiin Mountain, is the Arabic name for Peqiin.
The village has many special characteristics like natural springs and high quality soil. A unique and impressive discovery of a stalactite cave was stumbled upon during paving of a road in 1995. The cave was used for burial, and in it ceramic sarcophagi, jugs and fragments of bone were found. This discovery sheds light on human activity in the Upper Galilee Region.
Peqiin is known for being central to followers of the Jewish faith, especially during Roman Times. Rabbi Shimon Bar Yohai and his son Elazar fled from the Romans, hid in a cave located in the village called “Mearta Depeka,” According to tradition, this cave is the place where “Zohar” was written. “Zohar” is the book that is considered the most important to the origins of Kabala.

School details
Our Arabic or Hebrew language course is held in the small village of Peqiin in a small school. You will mingle with the residents, eat delicious local food, and attend cultural events all while practicing what you have learned during your lessons.
Our fully trilingual (English, Hebrew and Arabic), qualified, and dedicated teaching staff provides structured and highly effective daily language lessons. They will also create many opportunities to converse with the local community in Arabic.

- 4 week program length
Total of a minimum 40 hours per week (160 hours per month) of combined actual learning and immersion time. The teaching is provided privately but some of the teaching hours will be provided in classes never exceeding 10 pupils each. Student will receive private tuition (one to one) when lagging skills are identified.

3 monthly excursions included. Every week there are planned excursions to different tourist attractions and cultural places of interest around the area.
1 monthly talk on different topics (one hour) delivered by educators in English.
