Class Schedule
When students arrive at the school, they are given an oral proficiency interview to determine their level. Based on this interview, they are placed tentatively in one of our six levels (Basic I and II, Intermediate I and II and Avanced I and II). Students can move up according to their progress.
Once placed in a classs, students will experience our total immersion methodology. Classes are conducted completely in Spanish.
Lessons are normally from 9:00 to 1:00 or 2:00 to 6:00, Monday to Friday.
Teaching Methodology
Learning Spanish at this school is both fun and efficient. Our methodology is based on the communicative approach emphasizing conversation. At higher levels an integrated-skills approach is also incorporated while consistently emphasizing speaking and communication. Students are strongly encouraged to take part in community activities and our Tandem Conversation Program to facilitate their ability to think in Spanish.
Activities & Excursions
Every week there are planned excursions to different tourist attractions and cultural places of interest around the area. For each excursion there is a tour guide who gives a thorough explanation of the site and a presentation to the students.
Merengue and Salsa dance lessons are offered once a week along with visits to museums, movie nights and other cultural activities. For those students who enjoy beach time, the nearest beach is just 2 miles away!
