SALAMANCA SPAIN - SPANISH IMMERSION

Class Schedule
Classes take place between Monday and Friday from 9:00 to 12:00 for the standard program. The additional lessons for the intensive program take place after a short break for lunch.

Please note that during the summer months, the course timetable may be adjusted and some programs may be taught in the afternoons. In such a case, the cultural activities would take place in the morning, rather than in the afternoon. Your instructors will keep you informed.

You should bring a dictionary, notebooks and colored pens. It is useful to have 2 notebooks, one for new vocabulary, and one for the exercises in class. Textbooks and other teaching materials are provided, but it is advisable to have a good system of keeping your notes together.

Activities & Excursions
Learning a language is much more than learning its formal structure, it is also about interacting with the local community and having the knowledge of the culture of those that speak it.

To achieve this, we offer several courses and other complementary cultural activities such as the cinema, workshops on important aspects of communication (gestures, writing), a wine tasting course, etc. All these things will help you gain a more in-depth understanding of the culture and customs of the country.

Other activities such as dance and singing classes are an interesting and fun addition to your Spanish course.

To enable you to discover other places, we organize half-day, full day or weekend trips on Saturdays and/or Sundays.

We also provide the opportunity for you to engage in "intercambios" or exchanges with native speakers outside the classroom.

Sometimes you will speak in Spanish with your intercambio and other times in your mother tongue or another language you speak well.

Booking this vacation is easy and we accept most major credit cards. We require a deposit of $300 and a completed booking form. After checking availability we normally confirm a booking within 24 hours.

Most of Spain enjoys good warm weather throughout a long summer - from late April to late September. During this "high" season the temperature in Salamanca can reach 40 degrees or even higher, but it is more usually no higher than 35 degrees. The average daytime temperature is between 25 and 30 degrees. In July and August you won't want to be far from a pool, river or a cool drink.

Spring and Autumn are good times to visit Salamanca. The weather is generally reliably warm (about 20 degrees as a rough indication) and sunny. Salamanca enjoys a lot of sun and very little rain. Winter - from November to early March can be very cold. However, neither city gets much freezing weather. A sunny day with 7 degrees would be a cold Winter day.
